The Nigh Day (“we”, “us”) operates thenighday.com from Jakarta, Indonesia. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We process personal data in accordance with Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP) and other applicable Indonesian regulations.
Data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and a hashed password when you register.
- Order data — shipping address, phone number, and the items you purchase.
- Payment data — we accept bank transfer only. We never receive or store your card numbers or banking credentials; we only record whether a transfer for an order has been received.
- Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser type) kept for security, and a login token stored in your browser so you stay signed in.
How we use it
- To process and deliver your orders, and to email you order confirmations and updates.
- To maintain your account, cart, and wishlist.
- To handle exchange or complaint requests.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with services that help us run the store:
- Courier partners (through our shipping aggregator) receive your name, address, and phone number to deliver your order.
- Email delivery — order emails are sent through our email provider.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store our application and database.
Some of these providers may process data outside Indonesia. Where that happens, we choose providers with appropriate safeguards, as required by UU PDP.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Order records are kept as long as we are required to for bookkeeping and tax purposes under Indonesian law. You may ask us to delete your account at any time; we will remove or anonymise your data except where retention is legally required.
Your rights
Under UU PDP you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- withdraw consent to processing that is based on consent.

Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
